Sandra Fanno was born and raised in Mexico City. She started working in the hospitality industry at sixteen years old and ever since she fell in love with food and service. She lived a decade in Cancun, working, traveling, and developing an endless appreciation for culinary diversity around the world. She moved to New York City in 2004 and graduated from Hunter College with a dual major in Creative Writing and Translation. She has since been trying to combine her passions: bartending, traveling and writing.
