Pastry Chef Lasheeda Perry Just Doesn’t Give Up!

Lasheeda Perry’s incredible success story starts even before her high school graduation, when she was simultaneously writing her valedictorian speech and her mother’s obituary. She’s faced incredible challenges in her life and career, yet she won an $80,000 scholarship to Johnson & Wales University, rose to the level of Executive Pastry Chef at the prestigious Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, and made it all the way to The Food Network. As an African-American female pastry chef, she’s had her share of trials, but as she says in this YouTube interview with our Editor-in-Chief Regina ‘G’ Varolli, “I just don’t give up!”
